For such a small village Luosto has a lot to offer: it has everything from national parks to ski resorts and amethyst mines. You can even spot the Finnish Meteorological Institute’s weather radar on top of the fells. The tranquil surroundings of Luosto village are favorable for a pure and relaxed Lapland experience.

Pyhä-Luosto National Park is a peaceful spot between the resorts of Pyhä and Luosto. It offers a magnificent landscape to explore by hiking or cycling. It’s also a great place for calming down and enjoying Lapland’s exceptional nature.

The first snow reaches the North around October–November. A white blanket covers the ground as the temperatures drop below zero. It’s still an optimal time for hiking, as the sun still surrenders some of its warmth during the daytime.
